Syn. Conchophthiriidae

Body laterally compressed, generally ellipsoidal to broadly reniform in shape, with dense and uniform ciliation; buccal caviry relatively small, located nearly equatorially on ventral surface; commensals in mantle caviry (on gills) of fresh-water bivalve molluscs.
